Coates International, Ltd. Announces Plans for Large Scale Retrofitting of Heavy Truck Engines
Tuesday, May 27, 2008 – 7:00 a.m.
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Coates International, Ltd. (Coates) (OTCBB:
COTE).
Coates is now in the planning stages for a “go-to-market strategy” that
would provide the trucking industry accessibility to facilities throughout
North America designed to retrofit existing truck engines with the
Coates Spherical Rotary Valve Engine (“CSRV") technology. The
CSRV technology improves fuel consumption, reduces harmful emissions,
and reduces equipment “downtime” by extending the intervals
between engine maintenance.
The combination of the increasing cost of diesel fuel, which is rapidly
approaching $5.00 per gallon, along with the prospect of new trucking
industry regulations designed to reduce harmful emissions, is posing
an unprecedented, serious threat to the entire trucking industry. These
new emissions regulations cut fuel efficiency for heavy trucks to as
low as five miles per gallon. These factors, which are putting a number
of heavy trucking industry companies into a fight for survival, have
prompted a recent spate of calls to our Company by heavy truck fleet
owners, operators, and others that service the trucking industry, who
are frantically in search of a realistic solution.
We are currently in discussions with a major diesel and biodiesel
supplier interested in retrofitting as many as 19,000 trucks owned
by various distributors for Coca-Cola within Mexico. We are also in
discussions for retrofitting heavy truck engines with Mapletree
Transportation Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway company.
There is excellent synergy between the specific requirements
for heavy trucking industry internal combustion engines and the technology
we have already developed for the Coates CSRV 855 c.i. Industrial Engine
which powers the Coates Electric Power Generators to be distributed
under the US and Canadian licensing agreements. We believe that demand for retrofit services
will be substantial and that the quickest and most efficient strategy
for meeting market demands will be to license this technology to others
with both experience and existing facilities. Barry Kaye, CFO,
noted that a key element of this strategy will be to maintain a supply
of retrofitted truck engines at each established Coates Retrofit Facility
with our CSRV technology. This will enable the Coates CSRV engines
to be rapidly swapped out with the existing engines in the trucks to
be retrofitted. The swapped out old technology heavy truck engines
would then be retrofitted offline with the Coates CSRV technology,
thereby substantially accelerating the process and increasing productivity.
As an initial step towards implementing this strategy, Coates has
already authorized WWE to retrofit up to ten 18-wheeler, tractor-trailer
heavy trucks for Elk Point Sand and Gravel Co, Aarbo Ranching Ltd.
located in Alberta, Canada with the Coates CSRV 855 c.i. Industrial
Engine. Our management intends to devote substantial energy to putting
additional license arrangements in place throughout the country for
this purpose.
George Coates stated that our existing internal combustion engine
technology provides us with an important competitive advantage in penetrating
this substantial market opportunity.
About Coates International, Ltd.: Coates

Coates International, Ltd. Plans to Attempt Land Speed Record With the CSRV Internal Combustion Piston Engine at the Bonneville Dry Lake Speed Trials
Wednesday, May 21, 2008
WALL
TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Coates International, Ltd. (Coates) (OTCBB:
COTE).
Coates has been contacted by literally thousands of
people and companies in the racing and motor sport world, expressing
interest to purchase CSRV Engines of all descriptions for performance
racing, in many different categories.
The Company’s Management has decided that this
niche market is extremely lucrative and a good fit for the CSRV Engine. We
plan to prove the merits of the CSRV capabilities by attempting a land
speed record.
This is a costly project that is not included in our
company budget; however, this project must be funded by independent sponsors
and may cost between $5 – 10 million USD.
The Company will be interviewing potential sponsors. There
are many Rules and Regulations presented by The Southern California Timing
Association for the salt flats speed trials; we believe that we will
be able to meet them all. Getting sponsors should not pose a problem,
as this will be the first time ever that an Internal Combustion Piston
Engine, (without Poppet Valves), springs, rockers, pushrods, camshafts,
including pressurized engine oil to the heads, are all eliminated, and
are replaced with only two moving parts in the CSRV Valve System. (This
would be a first ever in the world) and we should make the Guinness Book
of Records, just for the attempt.

Coates Completes $10 Million Financing
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. –FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE– Monday, June 25, 2007 –
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J.--(Market Wire)--Coates International, Ltd. (OTCBB: COTE - News) is extremely pleased to announce that the $10 million equity line of credit with Dutchess Private Equities Fund, LP (Dutchess) is now in place. The registration statement on Form SB-2 that is required to enable us to access the line has been declared effective by the SEC.
Barry C. Kaye, Chief Financial Officer, stated that “we believe this achievement is another important element of the Company’s 2007 business plan. When considered with the almost $1.9 million cash infusion from a series of financing transactions so far this year, access to this $10 million source of capital will enable us to carry out our plans to enter our production phase without delays that might otherwise have resulted from limited working capital. What makes this such an important step for Coates?
Now, we won’t have to wait to receive the $8.5 million balance of fees due from Well-to-Wire under our licensing and research and development agreements before we can start ordering parts, recruiting of plant workers and building the management team. This should greatly accelerate the time frame for converting orders for engine generators back into cash.” We employ approximately 20 outside engineering manufacturing companies throughout the USA and Canada that are capable of production of all our parts and components for the production of our products.
Mr. Kaye went on to point out that Coates is not operating under a cash flow crunch because of the $1.9 million already raised this year. This means that there is no need to rush the process. At this time, it is not our intention to have to draw upon the entire amount of the facility. We will be strategically drawing upon the equity line of credit. Of course we recognize the dilutive effect of issuing new shares of our common stock to Dutchess. The market for our stock will dictate the pace at which management will use the funds from the equity line. We are totally committed to accessing this capital in a rational, orderly manner designed to minimize any short term impact on the trading price of our stock.
Most importantly, we believe that having access to this substantial amount of new capital will ultimately increase the value of this company far more than the impact of the initial dilution, which we are in a position to control. One need only ask how Coates would otherwise be able to ramp up for production without access to such capital? A lot of hard work and planning went into putting this source of capital in place just for this purpose. Also, consider that although Dutchess is being offered a 7% discount on its purchase of our shares of common stock, it is considerably less than the costs for agent’s commissions, fees and warrants typically associated with raising money through private placements and numerous other sources of funding we have explored.
We continue to focus our energies on final refinements and testing of the third prototype Coates CSRV engine generator for delivery to Well-to-Wire, preparing to enter the production phase and exploring new profitable business opportunities. For a complete discussion of this financing facility, readers are encouraged to refer to our registration statement on Form SB-2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 19, 2007.
George J. Coates, President & CEO, said, “the funds shall be accessed at our option, which shall be based on timing determined by our management, with the objective of endeavoring to strike a balance between achieving our business plan and avoiding unnecessary dilution of our shareholders. This instrument of equity financing also greatly reduces the ongoing concern risks and uncertainties to our investors and stockholders. It gives them a margin of comfort to the future success of the company.”

Coates International, Ltd. Announces Granting of Important New Patent.
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – May 8, 2007 –
Coates International, Ltd. (OTCBB: COTE) Announces Granting of Important New Patent.
Coates International, Ltd. announced today that on April 3, 2007, Gregory Coates, a Director of the company and inventor, was awarded United States Patent No. 7,198,023 B1 for a new Sequential Injection Fuel Lubrication System (SIFL). This system was invented and designed by Gregory Coates, President of the Technology Division.
It was discovered that combustion engines running on raw landfill and natural gas fuels wear out in a very short time span. In fact, we were informed that standard poppet valve engines were only lasting approximately a couple of weeks out in the field when running on natural gaseous fuels.
After many scientific studies and tests were conducted at the Coates plant, it was found that the lack of lubrication and the extreme dry heat of these gaseous fuels created the condition that resulted in excessive wear on pistons, piston rings, and cylinder walls of combustion engines. After these scientific studies were completed, Gregory Coates found the solution. He invented a new sequential injection system that injects a minute amount of diesel or bio-diesel or any oil based engine fuel into the engine cylinders along with the gaseous fuel.
The new SIFL System is computer controlled and infinitely adjustable. It injects a minute amount of diesel or bio-diesel at precise intervals, which are determined and adjusted to suit the types of gaseous fuels being used. Although only a minute amount is injected into the engine with the gaseous fuels, it is sufficient to lubricate the piston rings and cylinder walls of the combustion engine, thus, preventing damage and excessive wear. This new invention is essential to upgrade the quality of natural and landfill gas to bring them to the level of desirable, viable fuels for all types of internal combustion engine applications including automobiles, etc.
The SIFL System is a key component in conjunction with the CSRV engines when they are being fueled by natural and landfill gaseous fuels. The system has been tested successfully over the past 18 months and is being incorporated into the Coates CSRV Industrial Electrical Power Generator sets that will be deployed to run on gaseous fuels such as oil well flare gas, landfill gas, and stranded low pressure natural gas.
Management believes this new innovation will help reduce global warming, reduce harmful emissions, and reduce the USA’s dependency on imported foreign oil.
Inventor Gregory Coates has agreed to exclusively license the new device to Coates International, Ltd. to make, use, sell and sub-license worldwide. The company is currently negotiating the terms of the license agreement with Gregory, which will be determined by the independent compensation committee of Coates International Ltd.’s Board.
The CSRV engine design eliminates the use of poppet valves, springs, rockers, camshafts, pushrods, etc. In fact, the CSRV system removes most moving parts from a standard industrial 855 CID engine, including the engine oil from the top part of the engine, replacing all these parts with only two moving sphere shafts, twelve floating seals and carriers that require no oil, no servicing or adjustment, producing higher volumetric efficiency, allowing higher compression ratios to be utilized. This results in an engine possessing higher thermal efficiency, lower emissions, and higher M.P.G.s.

COATES INTERNATIONAL, LTD. COMPLETES 351 V8 RACING ENGINE.
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – May 2, 2007 –
Another lucrative application for the Coates CSRV engine. Coates International, Ltd. has completed a high performance racing engine. The engine was tested, and was then brought up to 10,500 RPM, throttle response is incredible. The engine is 14 to 1 compression ratio, high volumetric efficiency and a low maintenance engine. A racing team has expressed interest and the company recognizes this is another lucrative niche market for Coates International, Ltd. CSRV technology.
The company has identified several niche markets including natural gas, electrical generation utilizing the CSRV technology. Forty eight prototypes for various applications, have been built and tested. The CSRV engines are capable of running on hydrogen, ethanol, bio diesel, propane, natural gas, landfill gas and mixtures and blends of any combustible engine fuels. Management believes the CSRV engine will have a good impact on global warming and the environment. It could reduce our dependency on imported oil.
The CSRV system replaces the standard poppet valve system including springs, valves, gears, camshafts, pushrods, cam followers, and oil with only two moving parts, that run on ceramic bearings. For further information and brochures, contact the company at website www.coatesengine.com.
